    • 1.3 Rational of the Study

       Brick kiln industries is considered as the most hazardous work place especially for children. It is also the most Labor intensive industries which absorbs the great amount of child Labor in Nigeria. Children engaged in these industries have to face various hazards like injuries due to falls and falling objects, exposure to harmful dust and noise, extreme weather condition and carrying heavy weight and load.

      Poverty is the main factor of child Labor because if a family is very poor and is unable to afford for their food, cloth and shelter for everyone, then all the number of family have to work for living. But many children also work because their step mother or father do not accept them easily and they can't tolerate their domestic violence, so they have to run away from home. And it is the main factor of a child to be laborers’. These children have to work from their childhood living. Lack of other opportunities like education, good health, food and other facilities are also reasons for them to work from their early age. In most of the cases, the schools are far from their reach or home, are unavailable, discriminative behavior of teacher and other children in adequate or just too expensive (UNDP 1993). 

      1.4 Purpose of the Study

      The problem of child Labor or child exploitation is universal phenomenon and it is also very ugly and serious problems to the every country like Nigeria. Education is the most important factor for eliminate the child Labor. So, this purpose every civic should be educated and should convince to them who are directly involved in child Labor sectors, illiterate and children's parents that child exploitation is also a social crime. Government was not giving proper right of children. The laws and government commitment is limited on prospers only. So, the purpose of the study is to give children right. Knowing the situation and condition of children is also the purpose of the study. Orphanage should be district for the protection and prosperity of every orphan and street children by the government of Nigeria.
