Next to the clerks and cashiers is the messengers, drivers, cleaners category. This category was stated by 15 respondents as being the people more likely to engage in frauds. These Set of people by virtue of the fact that they are sometime required to purchase certain things (like the drivers) on behalf of the bank claim to buy these at very exorbitant prices. Finally we have the managers and supervisors who have 15 percent and 14 per cent respectively. These people by the virtue of their position in the bank are able to perpetrate fraud with ease. The reason why they may not have been the major category being that they are aware that uncovering any of the frauds they commit may soil their reputation. And that they are also paid fairly well.
In a bid to determine whether fraud in bank are as a result of collection between some categories of staff, the researcher posed the question to the respondents and obtained the following answers.
