Majority of the respondents were of the view that the internal control system were fairly effective. About 48 percent of the entire sample indicated their internal control system was fairly effective. Also about 22 percent indicated their own was effective, and 16 percent very effective, while the remaining 8 percent indicated ineffective. From the data, it is clear that most of these bank had a not so – effective internal control system.
