ABSRACT - [ Total Page(s): 1 ]The incidence of obesity was studied in three-hundred and five (305) female subjects in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in the age groups 16-18 years, 19-21 years, 22-24 years and 25-27 years using two anthropometric indices of obesity: body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC). A short structured questionnaire was administered to the subjects to elicit information on personal data, physical activity, lifestyle and family history.
