    • This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between continuous assessment grade and students performance in biology. To achieve this objective, five research questions were stated to guide this study. The data collected were analyzed using simple percentages and tables to analyze research questions. A structured questionnaire was used as the major instrument for data collection from some SS 2 students in some selected senior secondary schools in Odeda Local Government, Abeokuta, Ogun State. After the careful analysis of the data, the following findings were revealed that there is relationship between continuous assessment grade and students performance in Biology; gender does affect the relationship between continuous assessment grade and students performance in Biology; low availability of laboratory facilities affect the relationship between continuous assessment grade and students performance in Biology; teachers experience affect the relationship between continuous assessment grade and students performance in Biology and teaching strategies used by the teachers affect the relationship between continuous assessment grade and students performance in Biology.

      The study concluded with some recommendations that the ministry of Education or its relevant agencies should organize seminars and workshop for Biology teachers at least once in a term in order to update their knowledge on the practice of continuous assessment.
