Findings:
The respondents agreed on the following, ranked by mean rating, on how government / professional bodies can play significant roles on health and safety matters on sites.
4.1.5 Hypotheses
The Chi – square test of independence is used to test two hypotheses formulated in the study at 0.05 level of significance. The Chi-square formula of independence is given below.X2 =

∑ = Sum
O = Observed frequency
E =Expected or theoretical frequency
Null hypothesis (H0) : This is a hypothesis that implies that the parameter has no effect or does not create any difference (between the two factors). The null hypothesis is normally shown as H0.
Alternative hypothesis(Hi): it is a hypothesis of existence of a difference or a relationship between two variables or factors. It is designated as Hi.
