The above table shows the result on if Progressive tax ensures people who earn more income will pay more tax and those people who fall under lower income category will pay less., the result the shows that 6.3% of the respondents disagreed while 41.1% agreed and 52.6% strongly agreed. It then concludes that progressive tax ensures that high income earners tends to pay more than the low income earners.
From the results above, it shows the results on if Progressive tax has the scope of manipulation by the tax authorities because there is no uniform rate and discourage the zeal to increase productivity, the result above then shows that 14.7% of the respondents strongly disagreed, 25.3% disagreed while 37.9% agreed and 11.6% strongly agreed, based on the result above, it then shows that majority of the respondents agreed and strongly agreed, it then concludes that progressive tax does not brings about uniformity and also discourage the zeal to increase productivity.
