      3.1    INTRODUCTION
Research design, which entails the acquisition and analysis of necessary data through the application of approved standard techniques, contains in details, the methods and procedures employed.
The type of research design used was sur vey. The survey research design does not require laboratory experimentation.
The design served as a plan, which helped the researcher to conduct an in-depth and thorough study.
      3.2    INSTRUMENTS FOR DATA COLLECTION
The two major sources of data used for t he study are primary and secondary sources.
      Primary Sources:
The primary source of data collection refers to data collected from the sample directly by the researcher through direct contact and the major instruments used are oral interviews and questionna ires designed in likert scale form to ensure accurate and consistency responses . Oral interviews were found inevitable and used to cover questions not included in the questionnaires. Oral interview questions were personally administered by the researcher.
      Secondary sources:
The secondary source of data refers to data collected by the researcher through articles and publications related to this study which include newspapers, magazines, internet materials and textbooks as well as certain unpublished mater ials such as seminars and brochures.
      3.3    POPULATION AND SAMPLING PROCEDURE
The population of the study comprised of the total number of staff, made up of the permanent and contract employees in the Enugu plant. The number of permanent staff presently at Enugu plant is 45 both senior and junior staff while contract staff is 84.
As a result of the small nature of the population, the entire population, 129 comprising of both permanent and contract staff was used by the researcher .
The sampling procedure u sed was complete enumeration or the inclusion of all the subjects in the population. Questionnaires were therefore administered to all the subjects based on the seven departments in Enugu plant as listed below:
      i.    Production department
      ii.    Quality Assurance depar tment

      v.    Plant logistics department
vi.    Plant on site support department

3.4    METHOD S OF DATA ANALYSIS
The methods of data analysis adopted in this work are the mean and the standard deviation to a nswer the research questions while one sample t -test was used to test the research hypotheses.
      The computational formular are
