    • CHAPTER FOUR    – DATA PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION
      4.1    INTRODUCTION
      This chapter presents the results of the analysis done in this work. For accuracy of r esults and to save time and energy, the entire analyses were done using a statistical package called SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science). The    next    section    presents    the    preliminary    data analysis which was followed by the descriptive statistics an d the last section is on the research hypotheses. Tables were used to highlight the results more clearly. Altogether, one hundred and twenty nine (129) copies of questionnaires distributed were all returned representing a recovery rate of 100% .
      4.2    PRELIM INARY PRESENTATION OF DATA
      The section presents the preliminary data analysis. It involves the cross tabulation of the demographic characteristics of the respondents with a view to highlighting the nature , pattern and distribution of the respondents as it relates to the work.

      Typified in table 4.1 is 129 r espondents where 30 (22.3% )    are    female    respondents        and        the        remaining    99 (76.7% ) are male respondents. There was also 88 married respondents            representing        68.2%    and            41        singles representing        31.8%    of    the    respondents.    Within    the    30 respondents who are fema le, 13, that is, 43.3% are married while 17 (56.7% ) are single and    within the 99 males, 75 (75.8% ) are married while only 24 (24.2% ) are single. This shows that the majority of the respondents are married males.

      There are 75 (58.1% ) respondents out of 12 9 that are
      aged 20-40 years. 15(20% ) have 0 -5 years working experience while 6(8% ) have 6 -10 years experience on the job. 31(41.3% ) have spent between 11 -15 years on the job while 23(30.7% ) have over 15 years working experience respectively.
      There are 50 (38.8% ) respondents that are aged 41-60 years. 11(22.0% ) have 0.5 years of working experience while 36(72% ) have 6 -10 years of experience respectively. None of the respondents in the category of 41-60 years of age have 11-15 years of working experience. 3(6% ) of the respondents in this age group have above 1 5 years working experience. The 4 respondents who are age above 60 years have just 0 -5 years working experience.
