    • The distribution of the respondents by highest education qualification and categ ory of staff shows that, there was 16 (12.4% ) management staff, 15 (11.6% ) senior staff, 14 (10.9% ) junior staff and 84 (65.1% ) contract staff. The    respondent’s        academic    qualification        shows    that    26 (20.2% ) of them have no fo rmal education / First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and the whole lot of the 26 respondents    are    contract    staff.    Out    of    the    14        (10.9% ) respondents who had WAEC / GCE, 4 (28.6% ) are junior staff while 10 (71.4% ) are contract staff.
      17 (13.2% ) of the respondents had A-level/OND. 2 (11.8% ) are the junior staff while the 15 (88.2% ) are the contract staff. Of the 20 (15.5% ) respondents that have master’s degree and PHD/ACA, 12 (60% ) are management staff while 8 (40% ) are senior staff.

      Table 4.4 shows that 79 respo ndents (61.2% ) strongly agreed that there is need for the introduction of strategic planning, that is, long range planning in organization, 30 respondents (23.3% ) merely agreed to the question. Only 10 (7.8% ) of the respondents were undecided, 10 (7.8% ) on ly disagree while none of the respondents strongly disagreed.

      Table 4.5 shows that 30 (23.3% ) of the respondents strongly agreed that strategic plans are communicated to all staff of the organization. 15 (11.6% ) of the respondent s merely agreed, 10 (7.8% ) were undecided and 34 (26.4% ) of the respondents disagreed. The remaining 40 (31.0% ) respondents strongly di sagreed.
