    • The mean of 4.3798 with a sta ndard deviation of 0.92866 indicate that question item 7 was accepted which reveals that the introduction of strategic planning, that is, long range planning in organization is necessary. Question 8 was not accepted. It was rejected because a mean value of 2.6977 and a standard deviation of 1.57423 were obtained. The mean value is less than 3, the cut off mark.
Question 11 and 12 are rated on a thre e point, likert scale so that the cut off mark is 2 that is
      ((3+2+1)/3)
With this, a m ean of 2.2403 and a standard deviation of 0.79819 imply acceptance of the item. This shows that to a large extent, the respondents are of the opinion that strategic planning techniques are adequate. Question 12 was also accepted with mean of 2.3178 and standard deviation of 0.81953.
This implies that to the same extent, the strategic plans of the organization are effective.
4.4    TEST S OF HYPOTHESES Hypothesis one:
HI: There is a significant relationship between strategic planning and the enhancement of the level of productivity.
Ho: There is no significant relationship between strategic planning and the enhancement of the level of productivity.
The responses to question item 9 where used to test this hypothesis. The table below s hows the summary of the result.

The result shown in the above table leads to the rejection of the null hypothesis at 5% level of significance. This is as a result of the fact that a T -value of 12.698 and a P-value of 0.000 were obtained.
Thus, the alternative hypothesis was accepted and a conclusion reached that there is a significant relationship between strategic planning and the enhancement of the level of organization’s productivity.
      Hypothesis two:
HI: Appropriate technology does signif icantly guarantee the implementation of strategic plans.
Ho: Appropriate technology does not significantly guarantee the implementation of strategic plan
The responses to question 10 of the questionnaire were used to test the hypothesis. The summary of th e results are shown below in the table 4.15 .
