    •     Another remarkable Hadith reads “till them also that He (ALLAH) has enjoined sadaqa upon their assets which will be taken from the rich among you and distributed to the poor among you if they accept that , refrain from laying hands upon the bests of their goods and fear the cry of the oppressed for thre is no barrier between ALLAH and it”. In the sound Hadith “when the collector of sadaqa comes to you, (you should see) that he goes away pleased with you”.
The Holy prophet (PBUH) further said “I have been commanded to taken sadaqa from the rich Muslims and to refund it to the poor muslims. The prophet I ask testament.
It is reported from Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) said “I advice you all for prayer, Zakat and good treatment with slaves”.
During the caliph of Abubakar, Allah’s messenger successor, gather notable sahabah of the prophet discussed the problem with them, and came out with an agreement to light the refusers. Abubakar and the sahabah ready themselves and set out after die refusers and gave them a decisive blow that brought back to the muslim, Ummah its Unity and fixed its divine teaching that the Holy Quran brought down from Allah Subhanahu wata’ala.
2.6 EFFECTS AND ROLES OF ZAKAT.
Zakat is much constructive and productive in bringing the true Muslims society into bang with regard to the fact that is one of the reasons for which the righteous are given authority on earth. Zakat is an equitable system of wealth that Zakat in fact, “is a vital part of the elaborate and capable system of the distribution of wealth established by Allah for the benefit of mankind”.
Islam neither approves of hoarding and unlimited building up of capital, nor of obligatory equal distribution of wealth as both are unjust.
Zakat is a social security. Zakat is a godly establishment for security among Muslims. If it is collected as the Holy Quran specifies, it will not only be enough to meet the needs of the deprived classes but also can lead to state of balance among the different classes of society and Islam was the first to pay it unto effect. Ali(1998).
Zakat has also played a vital role in society roles. Zakat soothes the poor’s feeling, satisfies their needs, and strengthen the bonds of mutual love among the poor and the rich. It is a peerless means that Islam has imposed to maintain social solidarity, co-operation and cordiality among muslims. It is a proof of muslim brotherhood and a manifestation of putting the Islamic leaching into effect. On the other hand, it leads an atmosphere within which not only can the poor live free from worry but also they have no doubt that their dues will be paid to them properly. This means that it is their right to receive Zakat. Just as it an obligation for rich to pay.
Furthermore, Zakat saves Muslims from misfortunes and makes amendment for sins. (7:156). The messenger of Allah (PBUH) has said “a secret sadaqa entinguishes the anger of the Lord and repels evil dead” “And the sadaqa puts out sin” safe guard your wealth via paying Zakat”.
Ummah welfare trust begs charity (2013) Zakat is not an option, it is a compulsory act for all muslins. It is a contribution paid once a year on savings of two and half percent. This giving is to “cleanse” your money and possessions from excessive desire for them or greed. Muslims are encouraged in the Quran to make voluntary contribution is called sadaqah (charity).
â€œAbu Huraira reported Allah’s messenger (peace be upon him) as saying, If any owner of gold or silver does not pay what is due on him, when the day of resurrection would come plates of fire would be beaten out for him, these would then be heated in the fire of hell and his sides, his forehead and his back would be cautened with them. Whenever these cold down, (the process is) repeated during a day the extent of which would be fifty thousand years, until judgment is pronounced among servants, and he sees whether his path is to take to paradise or to Hell”.
