1.1 INTRODUCTION
Leadership has probably been written about formally, researched and informally discussed more that any single topic. Through history, it has been recognized that the different between success and failure whether in a business or basketball games, can be largely attributed to Leadership. It is know to have a tremendous influence or human performance, but it’s inner working and specific dimension can not be precisely spelt out.
Despite these inherent difficulties a review of some of the widely known classis studies on Leadership can help to set a stage for the analysis at modern theories and styles of leadership.
Leadership is a key process in any organization. When a business venture is successful, it is the managing director who received credit. When failure occurs, it is usually the same individual at the top that is leadership series as the art of getting things done through other people instead of doing it himself. The essence of leadership is to influence other people.
If the right or quality are appointed into various position at different level in an organization, the issue of non performance by an organization would have been taken laid to rest because good leader would have taken a right decision either financially or otherwise in the course of attaining organization objective.

Every organization at its inception has set objective. And in its attempts to achieve the set of objective, the company engages the services of a good leader.
The success of the organization depend on the ability of the leader in the company to perform efficiently and effectively.
Therefore, the objective of this research strictly is to find out the leadership so as to be effective in organization.
1.3 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
Both private and public sectors will find those research work useful in their day-to-day operation and also in their choice of Leaders to various positions
This research work will also help the research to digest with great knowledge of what leadership is and the need to appoint the tight lead in an organization.
1.4 SCOPE AND LIMITATION

1.5 DEFINITION OF TERMS
Planning: This is a process that involves the selection of objectives and lying down proper procedures to ensure they are fulfilled.
Planning means decision making which is the process by which a course of action is chosen from a number of alternatives for the purpose of effective leadership in an organization.
Organizing: This is the process by which the manager establishes a structure of roles and allocate jobs that need to be performed in order achieved their goals.
Directing: This is the process by which the manager measures current activities of his subordinates, compare the with the set down standard of performance and correct any deviation so that the predetermined goals will be achieved.
Co-ordinating: This is to develop unity of action from common purpose.
