    • The study investigate the multiple taxation and survival of small and medium enterprises in Anambra state. However, The study investigates the intricate relationship between multiple taxation and the survival of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within the dynamic business landscape of Anambra State. Anambra State, like many regions, grapples with a complex taxation system that encompasses various levies and regulatory frameworks.

      The research aims to elucidate the impact of multiple taxation on the financial health, operational efficiency, and overall sustainability of SMEs in this region. The research employs a mixed method. Both quantitative and qualitative data collection method. A structured questionnaire was administered to the Peoples in Anambra state  . A total of one hundred and fifty peoples were randomly sample from the Anambra state  Selected for Research. The study identifies and analyzes the challenges faced by SMEs in Anambra State due to multiple taxation. It explores the financial constraints, operational inefficiencies, and competitive disadvantages stemming from the intricate tax environment. Additionally, the research sheds light on the coping strategies employed by successful SMEs to navigate these challenges.

      Therefore, the researcher recommend that Governments should undertake comprehensive tax reforms aimed at simplifying tax structures, consolidating levies, and reducing the administrative burden on SMEs. This can enhance compliance and ease the financial strain on businesses.
