• Higher Education In Nigeria As Correlates Of Youth Preparation For Small Scale Business

    • This study was carried out to examine the higher education in Nigeria as correlates of youth preparation for small scale business with special reference to Lagos state University and Adeniran Ogunsanya college of education Lagos State. Specifically, the study  examine the extent to which university education influences the development of students’ intellectual skill for small scale business. The study also ascertain whether university education influences the development of students’ affective skill for small scale business  and  determine the extent to which university education influences the development of students’ psychomotor skill for small scale business. 

      A total of 200 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that University education has significantly influenced the development of students’ intellectual skill for small scale business. Also,  University education has significantly influenced the development of students’ affective skill for small scale business. Lastly, University education has significantly influenced the development of students’ psychomotor skill for small scale business. The study thereby recommend that There should be a distilled university syllabi to include newest technologies and business practice to enable students grasp business principles and enhance functional knowledge job creation ability
