3.0 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
3.1 Brick moulding and curring
3.1.1 Material
Cement: the cement used was Dangote cement S3, brought from cement depot at Asadam road Ilorin.
Sand: sand collected from Asa-dam Road Ilorin as used as fine aggregates was clean sharp free from clay and organic matter and well-grounded in accordance with water
Water: tap water was used for the mixing and it was properly examined to ensure that it was clear free contaminant either dissolved or in suspension and good drinking
Lateritic soil: was obtain along the Asa-dam road Ilorin with the coordinates (longitude E0040 321 52.61 and the latitude N080 271 02.41), and was obtained between a depth of 1m to 2m .The location is an open space and it essentially a road cut.
