4.0 DATA ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION OF RESULT
Based on the data obtained from the visual inspection survey on traffic condition and average travel speed of vehicle on Post-Office-Kwara State Polytechnic permanent site car park road, the following analysis are made.
4.1 Discussion on Traffic Volume
The data on traffic volume was carried out in the period of seven days from 7:00am to 7:00pm each day.
The exercise started on Monday 1st of May and ended on Sunday 7th of May 2014.
The traffic composition for both direction on Post-Office-Maraba road was classified in term of cars, buses, trucks, autocycles which was represented in table.
The data collected from field survey on traffic flow at Post-Office-Maraba road was classified in each hours for each days for both direction represented from table 3.5 to table 4.1.
The average traffic flow composition for both morning and afternoon are represented in the table below.
