4.6    SUMMARY AND DISCUSSION
    In summary from the data collected from various organization bodies like Kwara State Ministry of Works, driver, and the road failure due to improper construction of drainage, improper maintenance, improper compaction of the base-soil and inadequate construction materials which lead in the various types of failure on the road like cracking edge break and potholes e.t.c.
DISCUSSION
    From the above causes of failure on the road surface the state or local government must consider which factors could be used in other to improve the state of rural roads which are : adequate compaction of the soil base, proper construction of drainage, bridges, culvert, adequate construction of road camber and proper rehabilitation of the road.
Benefits of an improved road are:
It help in medical, education and sanitation facilities of the country improvement of highway system helps in the development of social, culture and intellectual life of people and also increases the political activities in the state or country.
It has brought development to agriculture in term of quick delivery of farm product to the market.
Improved highway system help in the development of an industry and promotes regional specialization.
A good road network enable villagers to transport their commodities to market place speedily and easily, even perishable commodities can be rushed to the market place and usefully utilized.
