4.7 DESIGN APPROACH
This aspect is connected with functional relationship of the medical units within the entire project. The aim of this is achieved through the departmental layout of the units on the site. It is important to note that health centre is certainly not simple mechanical addition of different to meet the future needs of function balance and spatial growth after the initial period of equilibrium, health centre design has to be above anticipatory the efficiency of health centre also depends on the closeness of immediate department in function. This is taken cognizance of in the design of the primary health centre. All walk ways with in the centre will be of interlocking to differentiate between the road and walk ways.
Movement within around the centre is made easy as ramps are used where necessary especially in areas meant for people patient.
An example of this is the main entrance at the general entrance and exist from delivery and emergency casualty unit.
