Drug abuse among youths in Nigeria has been a problem to the youths and the society in General. The consequences of drug abuse are not only on the individual user but also on his or her offspring, family and the society. This work is expected to create awareness, expose and provide useful information to people especially to the Nigerian youths on the effects of drug abuse.
The total population for the study is 200 staff and students of tertiary institutions in Lagos State. The researcher used questionnaires as the instrument for the data collection. Descriptive Survey research design was adopted for this study. A total of 133 respondents made up lectures, heads of department, senior lecturers and students were used for the study. The data collected were presented in tables and analyzed using simple percentages and frequencies.
