    • METHODOLOGY

This chapter deals on the methods and procedures adopted in carrying out this study. It is discussed under research designs, area of the study, population of the study, sample and sample techniques, research instrument, validation of the instrument, administration and serving of the instrument and method of data analysis.

      Research Design

This is a survey research in which ten (10) secondary schools in Awka Metropolis of Anambra state were used. It is a survey research because a few secondary schools were considered as representatives of the secondary schools in Awka. According to Akuezeilo and Agu (2002) survey research is one in which a group of people or items is studied by collecting and analyzing data from a few people considered to be representatives of the entire group.

      Area of Study

This study was carried out within Awka metropolis on secondary school teachers of computer science and senior secondary students. Awka is the capital city of Anambra state; it was chosen and used for the study in order to enable the researcher a good comparison with other places the research has been done.

      Population of the Study

The accessible population for the study comprises all the secondary school students and computer science teachers in Awka metropolis of Anambra state. The population of teachers is ten (300) and that of students is six thousand five hundred [6,500].

      Sample and Sampling Techniques

The sample of the study was made up of two hundred (200) secondary school students and ten (10) computer science teachers drawn from ten (10) randomly selected secondary schools in Awka Metropolis of Anambra State.

These ten (10) secondary schools were selected using simple random sampling technique (balloting without replacement) out of the ten (10) secondary schools used, twenty students were randomly used from each school from SSS1 to SSS3 level making a total of two hundred (200) students. And one computer science teacher was also used from each school making a total of ten (10) teachers.
