      5.3     CONCLUSION
In view of the findings of the study, it could be concluded that the provision of electronic databases will continue to have a great impact on research and academic environment. Libraries will attract greater patronage when high quality collections on both print and electronic resources are made available.
Based on the findings of the study, it could be also concluded that majority of library users were not utilizing the available electronic information resources being promoted by the libraries due to lack of awareness of their availability, lack of information literacy skills and problems associated with the resources such as epileptic power supply, slow internet connectivity, insufficient computer skills. Therefore, they need greater promotion of available electronic information resources and training on how to make use of the available electronic resources in the institution libraries in order to improve their teaching and research activities.
There is no doubt that if all of the library users would be aware of the existence and availability electronic information resources, there would be high usage, higher quality of teaching and research activities.
