CHAPTER FOUR NEW SYSTEM DESIGN
4.1 INTRODUCTION
The design is a solution the transition of requirement into ways of melting them. Features of a new system are stated at two levels of logical and physical design. Logical design means writing detailed specification for the new system i.e. describes its features output, inputs files, database and procedure to meet the project requirements specifies input forms and screen lay out.
4.1 NEW INPUT REQUIREMENTS
Requirement specification is a description of a software system to be developed, layout out functional and non-functional requirements. The input requirements in the new system are entered by the system administrators who manage the system into the web application. The inputs are not done using paper and pen.
The functional requirements of the new system are:

The core of any information system is the database. The nature of data stored in the database and the organization of the data have many effect on the performance of the system. A good database design is expected to hold all the data, which may be required by the users of the system, but at the same time, it should avoid any harmful or unnecessary redundancy as we as damages to the database.
The procedure in which the new system is operated is done using a computer system with internet connectivity, if there are no internet connectivity, the web application can be installed locally using local server known as WAMP server or XAMP. After the application has been run locally the system admin would enter the address of the application into the browsers address bar, the address would locate the where the file is stored on the internet or on the computer system. After that the application would launch on the browser and the system would require the system admin to provide a login to enter the record of disasters. After a successful login the user will then be allowed to add, update and delete records of disaster recently or previously reported.
4.3. NEW OUTPUT REQUIREMENTS
The new system outputs are the displayed information of the reports inserted into the database and report generation of reports added to the database that contains information such as the display of the type of disaster, the output display of the place where the disaster occurred, the output display of the time of disaster, the output display of the day of disaster, the output display of the cause of the disaster. Etc.
4.4. FILES TO BE MAINTAINED
The files to be maintained in a new system describes what types of file are stored in the new system. The file maintained in this new system are records of files such as:
i. Files on the disaster reported with time frame.
ii. Files on the system of the admin
4.5 EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:
The system consist of two types of requirement which are the software requirement and hardware requirements
4.5.1 SOFTWARE REQUIRMENTS: Software requirement are program that control the operation of the computer are called software. The operating system recommended Microsoft xp professional because of it flexibility, functionality and most of all user friendliness. System?s software application requirements are:
i. Operating System: Windows XP or Later version
ii. Software designer: Sublime Text.
iii. .net frame work 4.4
iv. Sql server comapat editition
v. wamp or xamp server
