2.8.2.3 Distributed Object Architecture
There is no distinction in distributed object architectures between tween clients and servers.
Each distributable entity is an object that provides services to other objects and receives
services from other objects. Object communication is through a middleware system called an object request broker; however distributed object architectures are more complex to design sign than Client-server systems.
2.8.2.4 Peer to Peer Architecture
The client-server model assumes that certain machines are better suited for providing certain services. For instance, a ï¬le server may be a system with a large amount of disk space and backup facilities. A peer-to-peer model (Figure 2.8) assumes that each machine has somewhat equivalent capabilities, that no machine is dedicated to serving others. An example of this is a collection of PCs in a small ofï¬ce or home. Networking allows people to access each other’s files and send email but no machine is relegated to a speciï¬c set of services. In this architecture there is no special machine or machines that provide a service or manage the network resources. Instead all responsibilities are uniformly divided among all machines, known as peers. Peers can serve both as clients and servers.

ABSRACT - [ Total Page(s): 1 ]ABSTRACTThe recruitment process has always been critical to the success or failure of organizations. Organizations constantly seek better methods of recruiting staff that will require minimal effort to seamlessly ï¬t in with the organizations business processes and thus provide recruitment agencies with the means with which to determine which universities provide the best graduates in a particular ï¬eld for recruitment. This project work utilized a V-model software methodology, in the ver ...
