In order to explain the architecture of the R.M.S in ï¬g 3.7 properly a scenario would be used. Let’s say an organization intends to use the R.M.S, a member of staff of the organization would have to upload information about the organization, its candidates and the various exams to be taken from its own information management system (IMS). This information is uploaded to the R.M.S Database. The R.M.S responds by telling the staff if the upload was successful or not After candidates take the exams scheduled for them the R.M.S updates its Knowledge Base (KB) with information such as results of exams and schools of various candidates that took part in the exams this information is utilized in the decision process. The organization can now consult the Trend Analysis and Reporting Interface which in turn consults the KB to generate deduced patterns of universities that produce the best candidates in a speciï¬c ï¬eld and presents it as a report to the organizations management.
3.4.2 Function Hierarchical Diagram for the Recruitment Management System
A function hierarchy diagram shows the flow of data and control information between the modules. Hierarchical diagrams are used as design tools for functionally decomposing structured programs (Functional Hierarchy Diagrams www.mhhe.com, 2015).
