CHAPTER FIVE
SUMMARY CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
5.1 Summary
Recruitment needs of an organization are speciï¬c to that particular organization no other entity can understand the recruitment need of a particular organization better than the organization itself. In order to provide a system that enables organizations take charge of their recruitment needs by eliminating the need for recruitment agencies this project provides a platform with which such organizations can administer recruitment test based on organizational requirements and also predict which schools produce the best candidates in a particular ï¬eld in the organization based on those same organizational requirements.
The method utilised to solve this problem and achieve the goals of this system was association rule mining implemented using an Apriori algorithm. An apriori algorithm comprises of an implication consisting of a premise and conclusion combined with classiï¬ers such as support and conï¬dence used to strengthen the implication rule deï¬ned.
The recruitment management system (R.M.S) was implemented as a web application hence web technologies such as Hâ„¢L, PHP, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX were used PHP was the d programming language used in the development of the prediction model. It utilised a client server architecture in which the database was located on the server with the R.M.S application residing on the client and the R.M.S database on the server.
5.2 Conclusion
Various organizations run different business processes much in the same way that various schools run different curriculums. It is common knowledge that organizations spend a lot of resources adapting new recruits to their business processes and still get mixed results; With
R.M.S organizations are guaranteed greater value for invested resources. This user friendly application is capable of creating and administering exams to speciï¬c candidates at speciï¬c times. The data stored in the R.M.S can then be used by organizations to determine which schools produce the candidates that can best suit the organizations business processes.
5.3 Recommendation
The recruitment management system was designed in order to reduce the influence of recruitment organizations on company’s recruitment process thus enabling companies take charge of their recruitment drive. Areas to be explored and improved upon in this project work are as follows:
• There should be a program module that will handle theory questions.
• There should be a program module that must run periodically to update ‘question’ database.
• The effective management of the system should be implemented in order to ensure continuity, consistency and security of the system.
