      (a)    CASE
The computer case is a plastic or a metal enclosure that houses most of the components. Those found on desktop computer are usually small enough to fit under a desk, however in recent year more compact design have become more common place, such as all-in-one style design from Apple, namely the iMac. Thought a case can be basically big or small, what matter more is which from of factor of motherboard its design for. Laptops are computer that usually come in a clamshell form factor, again however in more years deviations from this form factor have started to emerge such as laptop that have a detachable screen that become tablet computer in their own right.

A power supply unit (PSU) convert alternating current (AC)electric power to low-voltage DC power for the internal components of the computer. Laptops are capable of running from a built-in battery, normally for a period of hours.
      (c)    MOTHERBOARD
The motherboard is the main component of a computer. It is a large rectangular board with integrated circuitry that connect the other parts of the computer including the CPU, the RAM, the disk driver (CD, DVD, hard disk, or any other) as well as any peripherals connected via the ports or the expansion slots.

CHAPTER THREE - [ Total Page(s): 5 ] CHAPTER THREE3.0    DETAILED REVIEW ON THE THEORIES AND PRINCIPLE OF OPERATING SYSTEMAn operating system is the largest and the most complicated software running on most machines. By knowing how operating system work, we learn how to organize a large piece of software (system design), how to hide complexity (abstraction), how to tune a large system (performance), and how to share software and hardware components i ...
