Table 4.11shows the problem associated with NPFS which the farmers want the programme to address. The table shows that the major problems are that The NPFS loans are grossly inadequate (100%), difficult to access (100%), gets to a very limited number of farmers (100%), low level of infrastructure and low level mechanization (97.22% & 90.28% respectively), NPFS does not subsidize the prices of farm input (94.44%), difficulty in operating cooperative farms (75%) etc.
Table 4.12 shows that 97.22% of the respondents prefer individual farm while only 2.78 prefer group/ cooperative farm to individual farm. The reasons for this preference is shown in table 4.13
Table 4.13 shows the respondents’ reasons for the choice of farm preferred.
