The objective of this study aimed at examining the extent of progressive impact of agricultural production to the state of economic growth of Nigeria, examining the barriers to the agricultural production for the economic growth in Nigeria and identifying the levels of intervention by government to improve the GDP by the growth of agricultural production. For this study, the survey research design was adopted. The choice of the design was informed by the objectives of the study as outlined in chapter one.
