The sampling techniques that will be used to select the sample for
the study will be the random and purposive sampling techniques. The
simple random sampling technique will be used (through balloting) to
select seven banks out of 25 banks in the North-west, Nigeria. The
technique will also be used to select four different organisations out
of nine in commerce and industry. Also, it will used to select four
organisations out of eight in science and technology industry. It will
also be used in this study in order to give equal chance to various
organisations to be selected for the study.
The purposive
sampling technique will be used to select three management staff members
from the seven selected banks (these were bank managers, heads of
operation and marketing). The purposive sampling technique will also be
used to select four heads of departments in commerce and industry (these
were heads of administration, human resource, production and
marketing). This sampling technique will also be used to select four

supervisors from States Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEBs),
Teacher Service Commissions (TESCOM), States Ministry of Education

selected states of the study. Also, the purposive sampling technique
will be used to select the participants (top management staff members).

university graduates working in their various organisations and
