    • This study was carried out to critically analyse the correlation between learning style and academic performance of students in selected secondary schools in Atiba local government area of Oyo state.. Specifically, the study identified the learning style preferences among the students, determined the academic performance levels of students, discovered the relationship between learning style and academic performance of the study.

      The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 259 responses were validated from the survey. The study adopted the Kolb’s, Honey, Dunn and Dunn’s and Vermont theory. From the responses obtained and analysed, it showed that learning styles affected students academic performance.  The study recommend school administration and teachers to use learning styles that will be effective for students and students with low academic performance should be encouraged.
