4.3 Research Hypotheses
4.3.1 Main Hypothesis
H0: There is no significant relationship between social media utilization and students’ academic performance in senior secondary schools in Alimosho LGA, Lagos State.
The result in table 7 showed that percentage of the respondent who agreed are greater than the percentage of disagreed, the null hypothesis which states that there is no significant relationship between social media utilization and students’ academic performance in senior secondary schools in Alimosho LGA, Lagos State is hereby rejected. This implies that daily overuse of these social media tend to have a negative effect on the students’ academic performance.
