To answer the above research question, data collected from questionnaire items on the cultural/traditional factor contribution to low enrolment of female students was used in table 2, using descriptive statistic of mean

Table 2 shows that 50% of the respondents agreed that females do not study technical course in our culture while the remaining respondents disagreed with the statement. Also, 17.5% of the respondents agreed that females can only play their traditional role at home while 82.5% of the respondents disagreed with the statement. Moreso, 66.3% majority of the respondent was of the opinion that cultural role expectation is a constraint on female career choice while the remaining respondents disagreed. Meanwhile, 50% majority of the respondent was of the opinion that some traditions think technical education is for only technical students while the remaining respondents disagreed. Also, 67.5% majority of the respondent was of the opinion that in some traditions, training female students in technical education is a waste of resources while the remaining respondents disagreed. Furthermore, 82.5% majority of the respondents were of the opinion that some culture/tradition against females participation in technical education. The cumulative overall means score of 3.11 of the respondents which was above the benchmark of 2.50 clearly shows that cultural/traditional factor contribute to low enrolment of female student in Erin Ile Technical Schools.
