    • CHAPTER THREE
      RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter deals with methods and procedures for this research that would be employed in the conduct of the study. The procedures for this research work would be discussed under the following sub-headings:
      Research Design
      Population, Sample, and Sampling Technique
      Instrumentation
      Procedure for Data Collection
      Method of Data Analysis
      Research Design
The research design is a descriptive study. The researcher perceived the descriptive design as appropriate for this study because it determines to, describe achievement, attitude, behaviour and other traits of a population, which is the main goal of this study (Mcmillan & Schumacher, 2010).
      Population, Sample and Sampling technique
The study sample was taken from a population of student teachers in secondary schools in Ilorin.  The Researcher decided to use Ilorin metropolis because it is the state capital. The researcher targeted to use purposive sampling design where secondary schools in Ilorin East would be purposely selected owing to the fact that Ilorin east has the largest number of school out of the three local government in Ilorin metropolis with 39 junior secondary schools and 28 senior secondary schools. Participants of the study would comprise of 100 third year student teachers and their supervisors, who would be undergoing teaching practice for six weeks in selected secondary schools.
      Instrumentation
In order to collect the data for the research, the researcher opt to use questionnaire. The questionnaire would be developed by the researcher herself, referring to previous research done on microteaching by Noorazalia (2002). The participant would be given the 22 item questionnaire to respond to the questions. The used questionnaire would be a five-point Likert scale extending from strongly agree, agree, disagree and strongly disagree. The questionnaire would be titled “Impact of microteaching and Student Teachers performance Questionnaire”.
Procedure for Data Collection and Analysis
The secondary schools would be visited by the researcher for permission from the authorities and for collection of the posting letters of student teachers in their schools of practice. The researcher would distribute the questionnaires to the students and lecturers who would be supervising students on microteaching. Hundred (100) student teachers will take part in the study. This means that five (5) students per school will be involved and one supervisor per school would be administered questionnaire making a total of twenty supervisors. The filled in questionnaires would be retrieved on the spot. The first questionnaire would be number 01 up to the last one which would be number 120 because the respondents would be 120 and the questionnaire would be entered for analysis.
      Method of Data Analysis
The data would be obtained with the help of the questionnaire administered to the participants. The data then would be transferred into the SPSS for further analysis. percentage, frequency and correlation would be used to analyze the data.

CHAPTER ONE - [ Total Page(s): 3 ]Teaching practice is an important prequalification requirement that affords the teachers-in training the opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt in theory. It is like the laboratory for practical demonstration. According to Taneja (2000), teaching practice is usually interchanged with such words as practice teaching, field studies, infield experience, and internship, among others. The scope of teaching practice, according to Idowu (2000), is not limited to the cognitiv ... Continue reading---

CHAPTER TWO - [ Total Page(s): 15 ]This study is making use of the laws of effect and exercise. In the law of exercise, the response to a situation may be strongly connected with the situation depending on the number of times it has been so connected and to the average strength and duration of the connection. The meaning of exercise is practice. Thorndike claimed that practice in itself did not make perfect but practice in circumstances that allowed the learner to be informed or given comments about his progress could be valuable ...
