CHAPTER THREE
RESEARCH METHOD
This chapter presented the method and procedure employed in the study. The presentations were organized under the following sub-headings.
(i) Research Design

(iii) Sample and Sampling Techniques
(iv) Research instrument(s)
(v) Validity and Reliability of the instrument(s)
(vi) Procedure for Data Collection
(vii) Method of Data Analysis
Research Design
This research was carried out using descriptive correlation survey type. Adewale (2004) opined that descriptive correlation research is an approach that looks for relationship on the basis of which predictions are based. The research type is relevant to this study because it involved collection of two or more set of data from different groups of people and is appropriate for the focus of the study which is influence of Parents Teachers Association and Secondary School Administration in Kwara State of Nigeria.
Population of the Study
The population for the study is made up of 50 students including principals, 5 each from the 10 selected public Secondary Schools in Oyun Local Government Area, Kwara State
Sample/ Sampling Techniques
The population of this study comprises of about 21 public secondary schools in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State. To reduce the workload in going round all the 21 public secondary school in the case study area, ten out of the schools were randomly selected, the selected schools includes:
1. Oyun Local Government Secondary School, Aho-Gbada
2. Oyun Local Government Secondary School, Ilemona
3. Erin-Ile Secondary School, Erin-Ile
4. Ira Grammar School, Ira
5. Ipee Baptist High School, Ippe
6. Government Day Secondary School, Ipee
7. Oyun Baptist High School, Ijagbo
8. Ansaru-deen Secondary School, Ijagbo
9. Emmanuel Junior Secondary School, Erin-Ile
10. Surajudeen College, Erin-Ile.
