CHAPTER FOUR
PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS OF DATA AND DISCUSSION
This chapter presents the analysis of the data collected and the discussion of the results obtained. Five research questions are discussed as follows in this chapter. Descriptive statistic of percentage was used to answer all the research questions.
Answering Research Questions
Research Question 1:What is the extent of parents’ involvement in the academic process of students?
Table 1 show that 78% of the respondents agreed that Parents Teachers Association provides free textbooks for the school libraries and students to encourage them to study better while the remaining respondents disagreed with the statement. Also, 81% of the respondents agreed that Parents Teachers Association award scholarship to outstanding students to encourage them to read more while 19% of the respondents disagreed with the statement. More so, 69% majority of the respondent was of the opinion that Parents Teachers Association rehabilitates promptly damaged school buildings and facilities to provide conclusive learning school. In summary, majority of the respondents (72.3%) supported the view that the extent of parents’ involvement in the academic process of students while (27.7%) did not. This implies that parents involvement in the academic process of students is moderate.
