Purposive sampling technique was used to select three management staff from the seven selected banks (these are bank managers, heads of operation and marketing). Purposive sampling technique was used to select four heads of departments in commerce and industry (these are heads of administration, human resource, production and marketing). This sampling technique was also used to select four heads of departments in commerce and industry (these are heads of administration, human resource, production and marketing). Purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples (directors and supervisors from States Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEBs), Teacher Service Commissions (TESCOM), States Ministry of Education (MOEs) and all the registrars from the 27 tertiary institutions in the selected states of the study. Also, purposive sampling technique was used to select the respondents (management staff) because they are definite in number and as part of their responsibility, they perform the functions assessment and evaluation of university graduates working in their various organisations and institutions. This is as presented in table 2:

Instrumentation
The instrument to be used for the study would be a researcher-designed questionnaire titled “Questionnaire on Labour Market Demand and University Graduate Employability Skillsâ€. This would comprise three sections “A and Bâ€. Section “A†would comprise personal information of respondents such as the name of the organization, type of organisation, location and position held. Section “B†would consist of thirty (30) items drawn from the research questions raised for the study.
Copies of the questionnaire were administered in a State (Kebbi) that was not part of the sample of the study using 126 respondents. The questionnaire was presented twice to the respondents at the interval of four weeks. Responses from the two administrations of the questionnaire were analysed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation statistic. The overall value of .89 coefficient was obtained. This indicates that the instrument is reliable.
