H03;There is no significant relationship between staff remuneration and teacherjob satisfaction in Ilorin South Local Education District Secondary Schools
As reflected in table 4 the calculated r-value (0.817) is higher than the table r-value (.195) at 0.05 level of significant and for 499 degrees of freedom consequently, the null hypothesis is rejected. This shows that there is significant relationship between staff remuneration and teachers job satisfaction in Ilorin South Local Education Area Secondary Schools.
This agree with Ubeku’s (1975) assertion that there is need for job evaluation to determine the relative worth of various jobs for the purpose of fixing remuneration and compensation. Oduwaiye (2000) Supporting this view stated that remuneration is a reward for service to theorganisationand also a source of livelihood for employees, therefore it is related directly to the comfort, satisfaction and welfare of the employees. Moreover, the prompt and timelypayment of such remuneration would go a long way in enhancing job satisfaction of teachers.
H04:There is no significant relationship between staff motivation and teachers job satisfaction in Ilorin South Local Education Area Secondary Schools.
As shown in Table 5, the calculated r-value (0.701) is higher than the table r-value (.195) at 0.05 level of significant and at 499 degrees of freedom. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected. Thus, there is significant relationship between staff motivation and teacher job satisfaction.
This research findings agreed with Ojedele’ s (2000) assertion that school administrations as a way of enhancing the job satisfaction and productivity of school staff should ensure that motivational factors such as recreational facilities free medical services, regular and prompt payment of all remunerations and provision of all necessary school facilities are well catered for. Ubeku (1975) also agreed with this assertion that the success of any organisation including the school system depends on the effective mobilsation of the efforts of all personnel that make up the organisation.
