    • Ho5:There is no significant relationship between in-service training programmesand teachers job satisfaction in Ilorin South Local Education Area Secondary School.

From table 6, it is indicative that the calculated r-value (0.557) is higher than the critical value (.195) at 0.05 level of significance and at 499 degrees of freedom. Thus, the null hypothesis is rejected. Therefore, there is significant relationship between in-service training programme and teacher job satisfaction.
Adesina (1988) recognized the importance of such programmes when he identified four of tis reasons namely-to correct the deficiencies of staff at the time of appointment, to enable teachers face the challenges arising from innovations in the school curriculum to enable non-professionals to professionalise and to enable acquisition of higher qualifications. When all these in-service training programmes are encouraged, the status and job satisfaction of teachers are further enhanced.
B06:There is no significant relationship between attendance at seminars    andworkshops and teacher job satisfaction in Ilorin South Local     Education AreaSecondary Schools.

As shown in table 7 the calculated correlation co-efficient r-value (0.557) is higher than the critical value (.195) at 0.05 level of significance and at 499 degrees of freedom. Hence, the null hypothesis is rejected. Thus, there is significant relationship between teachers’ attendance at seminars and workshops and teacher job satisfaction.
Oduwaiye (2000) in support of this research finding asserts that teachers’attendance at seminars and workshop helps employees to be up-to-date and meet with modern methods of teaching. He goes further that this develops as an individual, aids teacher’ s competence and commitment to work while the employer also benefits from higher productivity of the employee.
Moreover, Teachers attendance at seminars and workshops enable cross-fertilization of ideas, fresh or new knowledge about technological and research developments in education are discussed at such for the participants and lecturers are normally drawn from far and near. Hence, the teacher after such attendance feels happier and more enthusiastic on the job.
