    • H07: There is significant relationship between principals motivation and teacher job satisfaction in Ilorin South Local Education District Secondary Schools


      As shown in table 8,the calculated r-value (0.210) is greater than the critical value (.195) at 0.05 level of significance and at 499 degree of freedom. Hence, the null hypothesis is rejected. This means that there is no significant relationship between principals encouragement and teacher job satisfaction.
      It is a common place in some schools that the principals are in the habit of issuing threat of disciplinaryaction at the slightest provocation, all in the name of enforcing discipline. Some of the principals would also tell the teachers to resign their appointment if they cannot cope with the conditions of service, as there are thousands of applicants outside who can take their place. Because of lack of proper encouragement of some principals, some teachers engage in other business in order to augment their monthly entitlements.
