CHAPTER THREE
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter deals with the following headings;
- Research Type
- Sampling Technique
- Subject and population sample
- Measuring Instrument
- Scoring Instrument
- Statistical Analysis of Data
- Procedure of Administration
This chapter highlighted the procedures, methods and technique of data gathering, computation and analysis. The following sub-heading were therefore discussed in this chapter, research types, sampling technique subject and population sample, measuring instrument, scoring instrument, statistical analysis of data, procedure of data.
Research Type
This research type adopted for this study is descriptive research, the purpose of adopting the descriptive research type was that both suitable and appropriate in effective for the teachers perception of the inclusion of civic education in the school curriculum providing relevant data for the research.
Sampling Technique
For the sake of case approximate and accuracy. The research has made use of the random sampling technique which give attune and clear picture of teachers perception of the inclusion of civic education in the school curriculum.
The effect were made to reach five schools out of ten schools selected in order to reflect the study being carried out, since it was not possible to reach all the ten schools. To this effect, questionnaires were randomly distributed to each of the five schools in the research area.
Subject and Population Sample
The study is based on the teachers perception of the inclusion of civic education in the school curriculum; since it is difficult to reach all the schools in Ibadan North East Local Government, the study is based on a sample population of five schools in Ibadan North East Local Government of Oyo State by distributing questionnaire to them to fill.
