OPERATIONAL HYPOTHESES
Hoi: there is no significant relationship between school administration and student’s academic performance in senior secondary schools in Ilorin metropolis.
Table 5 indicated that calculated r value of .897 was greater than the table value of 0.195 at 0.05 level significance. Thus, the null hypotheses which states that there is no significance relationship between school administration and students’ Academic performance was rejected. Therefore, there is no significant relationship between schools Administration and students’ academic performance. This implies that school administration determines to a large extent the level of the student academic performance. This finding is in line with Ajao (2001) who posited that, the quality of education depends on the school administrators as reflected in the performance of their duties. Overtime, pupils’ academic performance in both internal and external examination had been used to determine excellence in teachers and teaching. Teachers have been known to have important influence on students’ academic achievement. They play crucial role in educational attainment because they are ultimately responsible for translating policy into action and principle based on practice during interaction with the students (Afe 2001).
Ho2; There is no significant relationship between the availability of learning facilities and students’ academic performance in senior secondary schools in Ilorin metropolis.
