4.1 Hypothesis testing and Discussion
This chapter deals with the analysis of data collected. The alternative hypothesis stated in chapter three will be tested using T-test and chi-test square test.
The table above shows the percentage of truants from polygamous and monogamous homes. The total number of students interviewed was 150.
From the table, the percentage of truants form polygamous homes (56.3%) is higher than those from monogamous homes (43.7%). The percentage of non-truants from monogamous home (57.7%) is higher than those from polygamous homes (42.3%). This implied that among non-truants, students from monogamous homes are more than those from polygamous homes.
