    • FACTOR FOR DECISION-MAKING
          There are some factors to be consider when decisions are in education industry.
          Oyedeji (2002) these factors may be utmost importance particularly in Nigeria today. The target group the purpose of decision, implementation strategies of the decision and firmness of the decision are made. This is pertinent because of the difference in culture of the people. A careful study and knowledge of the group would reveal whether the decision made would be acceptable to the group or not. Next is the purpose of decision making what the objectives desired by decision are made, is it desire to bring changes in altitude and other extent to which decision made may achieve the desired behavioural changes. Most decision made is the educational sector by administration fair as a result of poor implementation strategies.
          Aliyu (2002), Good decision without appropriate implementation strategies is bound to fail. Implementation may be guide by certain rules and regulations proposed may use their initiative defending on the situation of hand. The people executing decision should be fair and honest in caring out the decision of the purpose for which they are made is to be achieved.
      PRINCIPALS DECISION-MAKING STRATEGIES
          Salami (2003), the success or failure of an organisation largely depends on the managerial ability of the leader when the administration of a particular school become faulty the principal is normally blamed even though several other individuals might have added salt to injury in the leadership set up to this Henry Fayol believed that when thing go wrong in an organisation, blame should not be on the has failed, this suggest that the principal of a school with his teacher should agreed on a common philosophy which will enable them attain the school goals this is where decision making strategies come in strategies of decision making refers to decisional methodologies which may be adopted by policy actors at any point in time and may also be viewed as different procedures of making societal decisions. Though many organisation have regulation and rules laid down for the operation of their activities; these rule and may only represent an ideal situation because in practice what dictate, decision strategies depend on the nature of the school and the peculiar characteristic of the person in poor to implement policies.
          Anderson (2003) has categorized strategies of decision making into the three decision making through;
      1.    Bargaining
      2.    Persuasion
      3.    Command
          He further asserted that bargaining and persuasion are often used by democratic leaders while autocratic proximate policy maker used command strategies.
      1.    Decision making through bargaining:- This represent the process in which two or more person in possible of authority adjust their at least partially in consistent goals in order to formulate a course of action that is acceptable in to necessarily ideal to the participant. This involves the process of in order to reach mutually accepting interest and area of disagreement between two parties. The interest of each group is to convince the other on the betterment of the interest.
               The following are condition for bargaining to take place;
      a.    Willingness to negotiate by bargaining
      b.    Presence of what to negotiate about
      c.    Possession of resource by each bargaining which other need.
          Basically, these are two types of bargaining (a) Overt (b) Covert. Overt is usually explicit may be implicit which is characteristic of individuals. The heterogeneous nature of Nigeria society and the constitution requirement that talk of federal character of the nation are condition that have  made bargaining an ideal model of decision making.
      DECISION MAKING THROUGH PERSUASION
          This is usually an attempt to convince other of the correctness of one position and indirectly forcing them to accept such position as their own.
          The persuader need not modify his position as in the case of the bargaining. For example, Babangida adopted persuasion strategy before the introduction of the structural adjustment program (sap).
          He also persuaded Nigeria to endure the hardship they encountered as a result of the introduction of the policy. This type of decision making is carried out through “lobbying”.
