      Review of related literature
      This chapter attempt to identify and enlighten the principal Human relation strategies and teacher job performance of secondary schools in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State. It cover different Studies that have been conducted on leadership behavior or style and Job performance of the subordinate to enhance effective and efficiency on materials from pen duals, books, dissertation and other articles that are relevant to this study. The review of related literature is discussed under the following sub Heading:
      Principals’ human relation
      Concept of leadership
      Collaboration
      Safety
      Communication
      Motivation
      Teachers’ job performance.
      Appraisal of the literature reviewed
      Concept of Principals’ Human Relation Strategies
      The word Relationship has many meaning each suited to the particular content in which it is being used. However in this study it embraces the attitude of the principal toward staff, student and work. A great deal of research work has been carried out on attitude both in Nigeria and in advanced or Industrialized countries. According to psychologist, there are components of attitude these are:-  
      1.    Thinking: - This refer to thought about objects and issues
      2.    Feeling: - Emotion
      3.    Action:- This is the component that deal with behavior can also be seen in term of personality trait. Personality is the “sun total of all the behavioral and mental characteristics by which an individual is recognized as being unique”
      That is to say it is the total characteristics of an individual therefore, the Way a leader interacts, co-ordinate, control, motivate, his organization from part of his personality traits
      Principal Teacher Relationship
      This means the way the principal and his teacher interact with each other, they should see themselves as member of one family. The principal should make himself available to his teacher. He should visit them occasionally in their home especially when they are sick, bereaved or had delivered a baby. He has to be open minded and show trust in his staff. However, he must maintain a respectful distance “Be a friend of all and a friend of none” Nwabikwo (1982)

      Strategies Indentified Are Leadership Style
          Leadership is a long standing topic of concern. in tradition management theory of leader has always occupied a strong and central role. Though there has not been a  universally acceptable definition of the word Glueck sees leadership as  “a set of interpersonal behavior designed to influence employees to corporate with the   of objectives” Morphet john and Reller (1982) define leadership in terms of leadership behavior as :
      1.    Helping a group to achieve its tasks, goal and purpose.
      2.    Helping a group to define tasks, goals and purpose.
      3.    Helping to maintain the group by assisting in providing for group and individual needs.
