    • Discussion of Results
This section gives detailed discussion of the findings from the research questions and the hypotheses tested. The findings on the principals’ human relation strategies mostly used in secondary schools in Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State. The results in Table 1 shows that communicate strategy was the most used human relation strategies by the principal, while collaboration, motivation and safety were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. The findings buttressed that of Adeyeye (2012) who posited that effective communication by principal in school will enhance school effectiveness.
Findings from Table 2 show that the level of teachers’ job performance in secondary schools in Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State was moderate where classroom teaching was found to be high with a mean score of 2.80 while preparation of lesson plan, discipline and counseling were found to be average mean scores of 1.73, 1.82 and 1.77 respectively. The findings is similar to that of Ekpoh and Eze (2015) explained that teachers' job performance involves all the activities carried out by the teacher to achieve the desired effects on students. It involves the extent to which the teacher participates in the overall running of the school in order to achieve the expected objective and goals of the school.
From the testing of the main hypothesis, it was found that there is relationship between principal’s human relation strategies and teachers’ job performance in secondary schools in Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State. Principals’ human relation is the social interactions taking place among himself, the teachers, and the students. This however, enables the principals, teachers, students and parents to exhibit keen interest and confidence in one another and find pleasures in working together. An effective human relation describes an environment where the leaders as a credible and competent head will exhibit cordial relationship between himself and his followers. The finding is in agreement with the view of Scolt (2007) who sees human relation as a process of an effective motivation of individuals in a given situation in order to achieve a balance of objectives which will yield greater human satisfaction and help in the accomplishment of organisational goal. Ukeje (1997) view human relation as the development of mutual understanding among all people. It involves the development of an attitude of appreciation of all irrespective of their customs, traditions, ideas, belief, weakness and strength. Arotiba (1998) opined that human relation strategy is the total connectedness and cooperativeness that exist between the leaders and their subordinates to carry out their responsibilities for achieving the organisational goals.
The finding on the hypothesis (Ho1) which was rejected, thus, there is significant relationship between collaboration strategy and teachers’ job performance in secondary schools in Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State. Collaboration strategy is a problem-solving approach through an open and trust of exchange of views. It involves searching for integrative solutions, which go beyond accommodating different points of view. This finding confirmed the finding that corroborates that of Adeokun (2012) who asserted that collaborating strategy is one of the most effective ways of managing dispute in any organisation that would bring substantial result.
