      SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
      This chapter presents the summary of the study with conclusion and recommendation made from the discussion.
      Summary of finding
          The study examined the influence of teachers development programme on school effectiveness in senior secondary school in kwara state. Relevant literature regarding the study wee examined and reviewed to the study were equally discussed.
          The study used sampling techniques to select 20 senior secondary schools and 260 respondents comprising 20 principals, 200 teachers and 40 carrier officers in he sampled schools in kwara state. The data for the study were gathered through a questionnaire tagged “teachers development programme and school effectiveness questionnaire (TDPSEQ)” to collect relevant data from the respondents.
          Five research questions were raised and answered while one main hypothesis and four operational hypotheses were tested using pearson product moment correlation statistics at 0.05 level of significance.
      The finding of the study were summarized below:
      •    There was significance relationship between teachers development programme and school effectiveness in senior secondary schools in kwara state.
      •    There was significant relationship between teachers development programme and teacher methodology
      •    There was significant relationship between teachers development programme and teachers mastery of subject matter.
      •    There was significant relationship between teachers development programme and students academic performance
      •    There was significant relationship between teachers development programme and classroom management
      CONCLUSION
          Teachers development programme is a necessity for practicing teachers in order to enable them acquire knowledge and skill in meeting to numerous challenges of their professional duties. Teachers’ development programme is a panacea to raising educational standard in our schools. Effective classroom management can be enhanced by teachers through development programme.
          Teachers’ methods of teaching are better facilitated and become more effective through teachers development programme even though it focused on academic or areas of socialization.
          Conclusively teachers’ development programme does not have appreciable impact on students’ performance in the class, the reason for these outstanding result may be another research topic.
      RECOMMENDATION
      Based on the finding of the study, the following recommendation were mad:
          Teachers development programme should be tailored towards improving practicing teachers’ performance in the class. Effort should be made or organizer seminars, conferences, workshop and orientation programme on effective service delivery in teaching profession to update teachers nationally and internationally.
          Teacher on the development programme must be adequately motivated during the course of their training in order to enhance their performances and service delivery.
          Teachers’ development programme should be used as a criteria for teachers promotion.
      Finally, sufficient allocation should be provided by the government on the annual budget for teachers development programme as no educational system can rise above the quality of its teachers.
