    • From table 2and3 above 80 words were pronounced by ss1 to ss2 students from each of the selected school and average of 43.2% words were pronounced correctly. The analysis shows that a great number of students encounter problem with pronunciation of some English words.
      It was observed that phonetics sounds such as voiced /v/ and the voiceless fricative /f/ which are present in English but are absent in Yoruba make it difficult for Yoruba students to pronounce the English sound correctly while Hausa students replaces voiceless /p/ with /f/
      •    Does English language teachers uses correct teaching methods?
      The result of WAEC/NECO from 2014-2016 to verify the correct teaching methods in the teaching of English language in the Selected schools in Ilorin West local government of kwara State.
