In view of the findings, the following recommendations are put forward.

      1. Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) should be charged with sponsoring public awareness campaigns in form of rallies, radio air plays and shows. Also the movie industry should be pressured to feature movies with the sole aim of bringing the profession to a wider audience.
      2. Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) should prepare a bill indicting any non-professional from practicing.
      3. The Estate Surveyor and Valuer is little known in Government Circles at all  tiers and the public at large. There is the challenge of image laundering for the profession. Estate Surveyors and Valuers must participate in the process of governance and aspire to positions of authority at any level of government.
      4. We must constantly review our practice by benchmarking our performance.
      5. Need to maintain the highest standard of competence and professional  ethics and integrity that will equip new entrants with the skill to provide  competent services and sustain their competence through their  professional career and also grow in influence.
      6. Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) should be charged with organisation of seminars, workshops and training for the regular and recurrent training of Estate professionals in order to carry out their job perfectly and in return leave an impression in the hearts of our clients.

      1.3    CONCLUSION

Estate Management  though a noble profession can only make impact in the society when the proposed consumers of their services comes to appreciate fully who an Estate Surveyor and valuer is and as well understand the services which a professional Estate surveyor can render.  This will not only improve the state of art of properties in the state but also help in affecting our economy positively.
