Validity of the Instrument
The validity of the instrument was established by face and content validity. Validity of an instrument relates to the extent to which it measures what it intends to measure. To do this, some copies of the instrument were distributed to some friends in geography department for their observation and suggestion, a copy was also given to the project supervisor for his assessment, correction and endorsement. The statements of the questionnaire were carefully corrected and restructured for consistency and reliability of the variables measure for accuracy.
Reliability of the Instrument
Reliability of an instrument refers to the degree to which a test yields consistent scores when it is administered over a number of time (Anastagi 1978). A test re-test method was employed to ascertain the reliability of the instrument. The questionnaire were administered on representative sample twice within an interval of two weeks. The reliability Coefficient is 0.85
Procedure for Data Collection
For the purpose of accuracy, the structured questionnaire was personally administered by the researcher by visiting the selected secondary schools in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State and this was done in a mutual manner. Adequate time to supply the required information was given to the respondents, after which the completed questionnaire was retrieved from them for analysis.
Data Analysis Techniques
In analyzing the data in this research work, chi-square was the statistical method used to test the stipulated hypothesis.
